Welcome

Welcome

A very warm welcome to Thomas’s Battersea Kindergarten, which, from September 2026, will fall under the same roof as Thomas’s Battersea.

Currently situated at St Mary’s Church, a stone’s throw away from Thomas’s Battersea, our expert Early Years teaching team gently guides each child to explore their potential, build self-confidence, and develop into inquisitive, capable, and enthusiastic learners. Through imaginative play, hands-on discovery, and carefully planned learning experiences, children are encouraged to think creatively, communicate openly, and develop strong social and emotional skills. Every child is supported to grow at their own pace; developing independence, resilience, and a genuine joy in learning that will stay with them as they move through their school years and beyond.

From September 2026, the Kindergarten will move on to the Thomas’s Battersea site for Upper Kindergarten aged pupils, thus taking our offering from 3 to 13. We are hugely looking forward to making this transition and bringing the teams closer together, whilst ensuring curriculum alignment and seamless admissions from the Kindergarten to Reception.

About Us

Discover more in our About Us section, where you will find the story of the Thomas’s family, who founded this group of co-educational independent schools which gives more than 2,000 pupils aged 3-18 an exceptional start in life. Here you can explore our Aims, Vision and Values, learn about the history that has shaped Thomas’s, and see how our commitment to safeguarding, strong governance, and clear policies underpins everything we do.

Curriculum

Our Early Years are the blueprint for the rest of our lives, so the education we receive at this age must reflect the breadth and depth of our learning capabilities. We offer a curriculum that is as rich as it is diverse and more than covers all areas of the Early Years Development Matters statements. We aim to give children as much exposure to as many different learning contexts and opportunities as we can, including outdoor education as a large part of our timetable.
