Safeguarding Induction
As part of your induction into Thomas’s, it is important that you are familiar and understand your responsibilities in the DfE statutory guidance Keeping children safe in education and the Prevent Duty.
You will need to complete the following tasks:
| Induction Training | Attend in-person training at one of our schools (available at the start of the academic year only) OR Watch the training video below |
| Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) | All staff must read and understand Part One Anyone who works directly with children must also read and understand Annex A Keeping Children Safe in Education (2026) Translations of Part One are available here. |
| Prevent Duty | Complete Gov.uk Awareness training OR Compete ‘The Prevent Duty’ on Educare (for Thomas’s staff only) Please send your certificate of completion to hr@thomas-s.co.uk |
| Safeguarding Policy | Read and understand the Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. Select the school you will be working at: Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy (Battersea) Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy (Clapham) Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy (Fulham) Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy (Kensington) Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy (College) |
| Other policies | Read and understand the following policies: Staff Code of Conduct Low Level Concerns Policy Whistleblowing Policy Select the relevant policy below depending on which School you will be working at: Battersea / Clapham / Fulham / Kensington: Behaviour Policy Attendance (including Children Missing Education) Policy College: Behaviour Policy Attendance (including Children Missing Education) Policy |
Once you have completed all the tasks above, please complete the quiz so we have a record that you have completed training.
If yor School DSL has requested that you complete a different form, you do not need to complete the quiz above.
