The Exploration Society provides Adventurous Outdoor Education to children of all ages and is particularly popular with pupils attending Thomas’s schools. As well as one-off events and camps they run two-hour training sessions on weekends that allows members to learn core skills, bond as a team and develop confidence. Members can then choose to join an expedition in the holidays where they explore new places, make new friends and practice all the skills they have learned in training. Expeditions to date have included a Buccaneer-themed sailing expedition on the Norfolk Broads, a Bushcraft-themed camp and a Sherpa hiking experience.
To ensure that the training and expeditions are of the highest quality, they use extremely high ratios of experienced and qualified instructors who really get to know their groups during courses.
