Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship and Economic Education (PSHCE) comprises all aspects of the schools’ planned provision to promote our children’s personal and social development, including health and well-being. Citizenship encourages the development of social and moral responsibility, community involvement and some of the basic aspects of political literacy. Through PSHCE in the curriculum we aim to help the children to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active, responsible citizens. We hope they will also recognise their self-worth, reflect on their experiences and understand how they are developing personally and socially.
