Thomas's Fulham ensures boys and girls of all abilities enjoy football in a safe and competitive environment. In the Lower School the focus is on “ball mastery”, progressing to small sided games in Year 2. In the Prep School pupils begin to learn the different formations and structures needed in football matches; and begin to develop their decision making skills under pressure. These skills are then tested in competitive matches and tournaments throughout the Michaelmas Term in the afternoon games sessions and at weekends. Sportsmanship and leadership are encouraged in all aspects of the lessons and fixtures where boys learn to work as part of team in a competitive environment.
We are continuing to increase the opportunities for Girls Football. In the Michaelmas Term we hold a training session and then take part in various tournaments throughout the year. Girls are encouraged to take part in the football clubs which are on offer in both the Michaelmas and Lent Terms.
