Cross Country

Interhouse Competitions

Michaelmas Term

In the Thomas's Prep Schools, all pupils prepare for an annual cross country run. The different year levels run varying distances and there is an emphasis on setting personal goals and targets for the run.

Thomas's Fulham has a strong running club, which trains before school, with children from Year 3 upwards participating. Pupils may be selected to represent the school in external races and competitions throughout the year.

Lent Term

Each year the children in the Prep school take part in a Thomas’s Fulham Swimming gala. Children compete in front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly races and relay events. We work towards this event in our swimming lessons during the Lent term

We have a swimming squad that train on a Monday morning in preparation for interschool galas held at various times throughout the year.

Summer Term

This term our House event is our Prep School Sports Day. Children work towards these events with preparation in their curriculum lessons. It is a fantastic event when pupils can display their individual skills and compete in a house competition. The Lower School children also take part in a traditional Sports Day.

We run an athletics club during this term and compete strongly in external athletic events held during the Summer Term.
