Each of the three classes has a Class Teacher and a full time Teaching Assistant. In addition there is TA who ‘floats’ between classes. Classes of 20 or 21 have a balance of boys and girls, are mixed ability and pupils birthdays cover the whole range of birthdates – some pupils will be 5 early in the school year and some not until the following summer. Pupils follow the Early Years curriculum. Some areas of the curriculum are specialist taught.
There are three classes in current Year 1 and four classes in current Year 2.
Each class has a Class Teacher and there are two Teaching Assistants in each year group as well as Lower School ‘floating’ TA. Some subjects are specialist taught.
In the Prep School each class has a Class Teacher. Pupils are set for Maths and a Teaching Assistant works with each group. Those wanting to stay to complete 13+ entry to senior schools can continue at Thomas's, Clapham for Year 7 and Year 8. Return transport is provided. Co-curricular subjects and some academic areas are specialist taught.
