The learning journey continues in the Upper school in Years 5 - 8, very much building on the positive experiences of the Middle School. In all lessons, both academic and co-curricular, opportunities are created for pupils to communicate, collaborate, to be creative and curious, to develop deeper learning skills through commitment, craftsmanship, capability and critical thinking: the 8 Cs.
Pupils become increasingly independent and are motivated to do well through a genuine interest in their learning. Exam success, although important, is not the overriding factor. When pupils leave Thomas's Clapham, they will have acquired a core skill set that will be valued at their senior schools and will equip them for life in the 21st Century.
