Thomas's, Kensington is situated in a quiet, residential
area near Kensington Gardens. The Preparatory
School is housed in two converted town houses in Cottesmore
Gardens and the Lower
School in an adjacent street, Victoria Road.
The facilities include a Science Laboratory, Music Room,
Art Room, Assembly Hall, Kitchen, Pottery Room, three Music
Practice rooms, Library, ICT room, Cloakroom, Gymnasium,
Playground, Classrooms and set rooms.

The
school's sports programme is carried out in local facilities,
to which the children are transported by school bus: swimming
in Imperial College, Fulham Pools and the Kensington Sports Centre;
gym in the Chelsea Sports Centre and Kensington Sports Centre
and, for children in the Preparatory School, major sports at Battersea
Park, Holland Park and Westway.
The majority of children attending Thomas's, Kensington live
near High Street Kensington, in W8, W11 and W12.
The
Headmistress - Mrs Diana Maine M.A., B.Ed. (Hons), NPQH
Diana joined Thomas's in September 2001.
She gained her B.Ed. and MA at London University and subsequently
gained the National Professional Qualification for Headship. Diana's
broad teaching experience includes Head of Biology and Director
of Sixth Form at St Marylebone C.E. School, Sixth Form Consortium
Co-ordinator for Greenwich, and Deputy Head at Blackheath High
School (Junior Department). She was also author and consultant
on a number of Science books for Dorling Kindersley. Diana is
married with a teenage daughter and son. The Deputy Head, Head
of Lower School and Senior Master, support her.

Classes are of mixed ability and there is no streaming.
Preparatory School
In the Preparatory School pupils are set for Maths, French and
Latin. Pupils preparing for 13+ Common Entrance transfer to Thomas's,
Battersea at the end of Year 6. The school provides transport
to and from Thomas's, Battersea.
