Religious Education is a vital tool for educating our pupils and equipping them with respect and understanding as they navigate their way through the rich cultural diversity of modern life. From Reception to Year 6, the children are encouraged to explore the beliefs and practices of the world’s major religions and think about how these dovetail with their own.
RE also provides the opportunity to explore the philosophical, moral and spiritual questions that affect us all. Careful and thought-provoking discussions create a forum for reflection and questioning as the pupils learn to negotiate an increasingly complicated society and establish a sense of personal identity and shared values.
We strive to teach creatively and through a number of media, providing first-hand experiences where possible through the use of artefacts, exciting school trips and visiting speakers.
“Provision for pupils’ spiritual, moral social and cultural development is excellent. There is something on offer to interest and inspire everyone.” Ofsted 2018
